Chennai Corporation conducts solid waste management awareness programme for ragpickers | Chennai News

CHENNAI: The Greater Chennai Corporation on Saturday conducted an awareness programme for ragpickers and scrap shop owners in Manali on source segregation of dry and wet waste, effective disposal methods of waste and personal hygiene practices.
Eleven electric tricycles were distributed to ragpickers for plastic waste collection and recycling.
The GCC conducted the awareness programme in association with Plastic for Change, an NGO.
