1st edition’s success draws World Bank interest in Goa green summit 2024 | Goa News

COIMBATORE: The Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) proposes to present green champion awards to organisations, education institutions, schools, colleges, residential welfare associations, individuals, local bodies and industries that have made exemplary contributions to environment conservation and protection in any such sphere of relevant activities, including – environmental education, training, environmental awareness, protection, sustainable development, solid waste management, water conservation and water bodies protection, climate change adaptation and mitigation, emission reduction, control and recycling of plastic waste, eco-restoration, conservation measures, coaster area protection, research and scientific studies for a new innovative green products/ green technology and other eco-related projects.
The TNPCB will give Rs 1 lakh each to 100 individuals or organisations, local bodies, industries, residential welfare associations, schools and colleges.
The format to be filled up for the green champion awards is available on TNPCB website (www.tnpcb.gov.in).
For additional information, people can contact district environmental engineer, TNPCB, Coimbatore South. The last date of submission proposal for the award to the district collector is April 15, 2024.
