GURGAON: From ancient culture to sporting triumphs the Haryana pavilion at India International Trade Fair (IITF) based on the theme “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – Unity by Trade” showcases rich cultural heritage to sporting achievements of the state at international level.
It not only showcases artifacts from the historical Rakhi Garhi(Hisar), revealing remnants of the Indus Valley Civilization, but also provides live demonstrations of traditional crafts and pottery.Moreover, the pavilion highlights Haryana’s industrial leap over the past nine years, positioning itself as a major industrial hub in North India, particularly in the automobile sector. It has embraced information technology, making Gurgaon one of the hubs for startups and technology companies.
According to official, the state government’s focus on e-governance has led to the development of Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family Identity Card), a unique model in the country, thereby setting an example for various states to follow. The pavilion features 51 stalls covering a wide range of sectors, including business and industry, food processing, textiles, engineering and electronics, leather, beauty products, personal care products, art and culture, traditional folk art, eco-friendly painting made from plastic waste, and many more. Overall, the Haryana Pavilion serves as a dynamic representation of the state’s journey, combining tradition and modernity, and showcasing its achievements in various fields at IITF.
The design of the pavilion incorporates elements of Haryana’s rich culture and tradition, offering a glimpse into the state’s achievements and how it is advancing on the path of progress. The pavilion also emphasizes Haryana’s achievements in sports, presenting excellence in various sporting events.
